WWR: December 3rd

by on December 2, 2013

Mystery riderCan you identify this mystery rider? She’s been seen at the WWR before, but she is known to prefer summer riding conditions. The good news is that Tuesday nights in November were quite decent. Of course, one has to dress for conditions–as demonstrated below by Joanne & Lisa. Clearly mitts & boots are now necessary, but getting the clothing layers right is still a challenge.

dressed for conditionsLast week it was about -16°C when we left HQ, but the wind had died down to 4km/h–lovely! Riders were peeling off the layers, and we were all happy and warm whilst riding the country roads for about an hour. It felt chilly quite suddenly at the end of the ride though–Environment Canada’s site shows that the temperature only dropped by 2 degrees while we rode and the wind didn’t pick up till after we left the clubhouse–just felt like it.

Let’s see what December has in store–meet at HQ at 8 p.m.

  1. I’m not sure if I’ll make it there on time tonight. Leave without me and I’ll see if I can find you or meet up at the clubhouse.

OK–we’ll probably stay in town and do the usual.
